My Mom.....

I originally started a post about how horrible my week has been, but stopped and decided to blog about how wonderful my mom is. I honestly just don't think I could get through a day without her. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how much I apperciate her. I just feel like telling her that is never enough compared to how much she does for me. How wonderful is she you ask?

Well Monday I found out my car needed a new engine. That is no cheap task. Of course I am lucky to have $4.00 in my wallet so I was lost on what to do. Our only means of transportation right now and this has to happen. BOOOO FORD!!! Anway, my mom tells me to get it fixed, she will take care of it. Not only is she now helping fix my car, but my hubby's car too.

On top of the car fiasco, she offered to drive down to Columbus to bring my little punkin head back, since I had no car and we had like a foot of snow.

I am just so thankful for everything she does for me. I will always be in debted to her. One day I hope to make millions of dollars and pay it all back.

Thanks Mom, I can't ever say it enough.

A George reference today...LOL!!!

It has been such a boring, mundane Thursday. I have been watching the clock tick by so very slowly. Finally something happens to brighten my day. Let me share:

My boss is in charge of all of the Recruiters, Employee Relations Specialists, Orientation Coordinators, and me for the entire Columbus region. Her office happens to be at the store I am at, but she is not the HR Manager for this store. The employees here do not understand that and when they are not happy with a decision made or a write up they come to her office and ask if they can talk to her.

With that being said, my boss comes out of her office today with her hair sticking up in the air and says to me "do you know where I just came from? " She said I was hiding under my desk. An employee was called to to store maner's office, which happens to be right next to hers and she heard them suspending him for something. She didn't want the employee coming in her office to complain afterwards so she hid under her desk.

She then asked me if I had ever seen that Seinfield episode where George hides under his desk!!! I wanted to burst out laughing and say you have no idea!!! How funny is that. I think hilarious!!! See hiding under your desk does come in handy in real life.

If snow was money........

Well I would be rich......LOADED!!! is more like it. I guess everyone else would be too though. My day has been dragging on and on. The anticipation and dread I am feeling about the drive home just keeps building, as the snow keeps falling.

This made my day today....

I am sitting here at my desk, looking for tasks to complete to fill my empty work schedule today, when I hear a familiar song on "the Eagle" radio station. Achy Breaky Heart!!! It made me laugh, but feel really old at the same time. I was thinking about when that cd first came out, my dad got it for me for Christmas, I think it was. It was my first cd ever and I was so excited. he got me a boom box that was a double cassette player and cd play all in one. I thought I was the coolest person ever. It had to be one of the first cds ever made. Remember when you had to have a dual cassette player to tape one tape to the other. You had to push down the play button and record button on the other side at the same time. That just makes me laugh. This is one of the many stories I will tell Luca when he gets older, and he will probably look at me like I am crazy.

Monday Shmunday!!

I hate Mondays. I wish the week went like Friday, Sat, Sun....Fri, Sat, Sun. Wouldn't that be awesome. Anywho, it is sooooooo cold out. My hair hurt this morning walking to my car, that is how cold it was. I could not be a homeless person, I swear. I mean the weather isn't the only reason, but it is a huge factor when I consider it. So I did nothing this weekend. I didn't even leave my toasty abode. I stocked up on groceries Friday, after I was given the okay to leave work early. I made delicious cheese dip with tostido chips and feasted on that all weekend. I actually can't wait to get home so I can heat some more up to eat. I have no money for lunch, which is probably a good thing because I need to go on a diet for my trip to Florida in May. I did eat three granola bars, but my tummy isn't falling for that trick and is still growling. I wish there was a million dollar trivia show called name that barney and friends song, because nobody could match my barney knowledge. I have seen Barney Live at least 15 times this weekend, because my little punkin head gets upset if barney isn't on tv. He is so precious, how could I say no. My favorite song is Mister Knickerbocker, Luca loves when I do the dance. It has a catchy beat!

Bummed out...Dont know why... Just am...

I apologize for my absence, it has just been a crazy busy week at the "GJ". I finally got through the pile of paperwork given to me on Monday so I have a break to relax. I guess taking a three day weekend caused a slight backup. It was well worth it though. I had a blast at the casino even though nobody really won anything. It was fun just laughing and having a good time. My aunts are crazy I swear, they crack me up. My mom is a nut. We played this Americana slot and she hit the bonus. It started playing this patriot music and she stood up marching and saluting it. Crazy!!

Today I just feel sad and bummed out. I don't think there is one real reason I can pin point. It is a "girl day." One of those days where you just want to cry to cry. Ever had one of those days??

My tax return wishes....

So my hubby got his tax return back yesterday and it is making me all that more excited to receive mine back. I have a running list in my head of things I would like to do with the extra moo la.

Uno: Finish filing for the bankruptcy thing.
Dos: Purchase a nice but practical in price digital camera. Then I will be able to post beautiful pictures of my little punkin head.
Tres: Visit Old Navy and purchase a pair of jeans. I have not bought any jeans in like three years. Needless to say I am due for an updated pair.
Quatro: Get a hair cut. I think :( I don't know what I want to do with it. Today I would like to shave my head bald I am so freakin hot. I hate blow drying it every morning. I need to find a cute style.
Cinco: Catch up on some past due bills. I need to be somewhat responsible with my money :)
Ses: Fix some problem issues with my automobile. I need an oil change, new roters on the front passenger side, and new side mirrors.

If I have anything left I will save it, but after reviewing my list just now, it is not looking very promising.

Ya Tax Season!!

Ching Chig Ching Ching

I hope that is the sound I will be hearing tomorrow night when I hit the slots. I am headed off to the Mountaineer casino after work tomorrow with my mama to do some gambling. She gets a free hotel room at the resort to use in Jan. so she invited me to tag along. I really need some luck on my side because it is pay day today and I am already broke as a joke. Between some past due bills and the overdraft fees I have a remaining $20 to live on until next Wednesday. Last time I went gambling with my mama I won $600 big ones. I know the Lord isn't real fond of gambling, but I am really praying for a break. I would be happy winning $150 or $200, just enough to get by until next week. I swear if I would win that much in my first pull of the handle I would be quite content and quit while I was ahead. Oh the trials and tribulations of my financial life.....
