So my hubby got his tax return back yesterday and it is making me all that more excited to receive mine back. I have a running list in my head of things I would like to do with the extra moo la.
Uno: Finish filing for the bankruptcy thing.
Dos: Purchase a nice but practical in price digital camera. Then I will be able to post beautiful pictures of my little punkin head.
Tres: Visit Old Navy and purchase a pair of jeans. I have not bought any jeans in like three years. Needless to say I am due for an updated pair.
Quatro: Get a hair cut. I think :( I don't know what I want to do with it. Today I would like to shave my head bald I am so freakin hot. I hate blow drying it every morning. I need to find a cute style.
Cinco: Catch up on some past due bills. I need to be somewhat responsible with my money :)
Ses: Fix some problem issues with my automobile. I need an oil change, new roters on the front passenger side, and new side mirrors.
If I have anything left I will save it, but after reviewing my list just now, it is not looking very promising.
Ya Tax Season!!

Ching Chig Ching Ching

I hope that is the sound I will be hearing tomorrow night when I hit the slots. I am headed off to the Mountaineer casino after work tomorrow with my mama to do some gambling. She gets a free hotel room at the resort to use in Jan. so she invited me to tag along. I really need some luck on my side because it is pay day today and I am already broke as a joke. Between some past due bills and the overdraft fees I have a remaining $20 to live on until next Wednesday. Last time I went gambling with my mama I won $600 big ones. I know the Lord isn't real fond of gambling, but I am really praying for a break. I would be happy winning $150 or $200, just enough to get by until next week. I swear if I would win that much in my first pull of the handle I would be quite content and quit while I was ahead. Oh the trials and tribulations of my financial life.....

My beef with Starbucks...

It is great having a blog because then I can vent about my beef with people, places, things, really anything I want. In this particular case I have some real issues with the Starbucks here at The Eagle. I really feel there is conspiracy against me and it it making me angry. Every morning when I walk in the doors to begin my day at The Eagle, I stop at the "bucks" to say good morning and buy a 20 oz diet coke (way over priced I know, but this store does not fill their pop machines), and a piece of their delicious low fat cinnamon cake. It honestly is the best coffee cake I have ever consumed. Recently there has been no low fat cinnamon coffee cake available for me to purchase. I was somewhat upset by this, but moved on to their delicious cinnamon role and was content with this as well. Yesterday I come to work, my usual routine, and get up to the counter and find they have no cinnamon coffee cake or cinnamon rolls for sale. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and more miffed about the situation then the day before. I decided to settle on an old fashioned doughnut they had in the pastry case and it was quite delicious. Today I come in to work and wouldn't you know they had no low fat cinnamon coffee cake, no cinnamon roll and no old fashion doughnut. I now believe they are doing this to me on purpose and are laughing at me behind my back when I walk away empty handed and disappointed. I had to settle for a low quality chocolate chip muffin from the bakery. GRRRRR STARBUCKS!!!!!

I have nothing to say...
This blog has made me realize how boring my life is. I honestly have nothing to blog about. My weekend was very relaxing and uneventful. I played with my little punkin all weekend. He is so freaking cute. Last night he got in his plastic car that he can drive and put his chuck e cheese crown on. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. He was turning the wheel and beeping the horn. He is so smart, I swear. A genius if you ask me.
This morning I was not expecting to wake up to snow all over my car. Unprepared me didn't even go out to start the car early so the ice would melt. I tried scrapping it but it was to difficult to do in heels, so I just sat in in for 10 minutes with the heat blasting until the snow melted.
So far at the "GJ" I have finished everything I had to do today in the first hour I was here so now once again I am twittling my thumbs. Thank goodness the Columbus Dispatch put the cross word puzzles online. I already printed my copy and have begun work on it.
It is much harder to post on here because of my new desk. I am much more out in the open and there is a lot of foot traffic. That is why there has been such a lull in my blogging.

Why Thursday Can't You Be Friday??

This week is the slowest week of my life. I hate weeks like this, they just seem to crawl by. The best part about today is the tv line up for tonight. Parks and Rec, The Office, 30 Rock, Project Runway, Real Housewives of Orange County, CSI and Jersey Show. Thank you Lord for DVR :). Today has been uneventful, I got my desk put together so I did accomplish something. The rest of my evening will probably consist of laundry, making dinner, bathing my little punkin head, a glass of wine, great TV and bed. To you that may sound a bit boring, but I am looking forward to it. I am such a domesticated person, I hate going anywhere else after I worked all day but home. I love my couch and evenings playing with Luca in front of the tv. I guess I am easy to please.

Sleepy Wednesday...
Today is such a sleepy day. I can barely keep my eyes open. I am assuming it is because Luca thought that 2:30 am was the appropriate time to get up and play this morning. I tried to lay in bed and play like I was alseep thinking he may just lay back down. Instead he put his face right in mine, nose to nose and just smiled. How could I be upset. He is so adorable I just want to eat him up.
This morning at work the IT person actually came with my new computer for my desk. Finally!! I am at my own desk. Now it is time to decorate and make it homey. I just don't feel like bringing all my boxes of stuff in from the car to decorate it. Maybe tomorrow I will be more motivated.

Busy as a Bee.....

For some reason this week at the "GJ" is super busy so far. This has given me less and less time to blog. Not that I am complaining, because I love the work. Since I am on lunch now, enjoying, what else, my cheesey chicken tortilla soup, I thought I would give a quick update. I had a fabulous weekend with my ma ma. Even though the AppleBee's dinner was less than superior and the waitress was confused by everything, it was great to spend time with the family. I was also able to clean this weekend which I relish while actually doing, but love basking in the finished product. I love having a spotless apartment, except for the fact that the sweeper needs run. Luca is just devastated everytime I even get the vacuum out so who knows what year that will actually happen. Other then family bonding and cleaning my weekend was uneventful, but much appreciated.

End of week Thoughts...

Well today is Friday, finally and due to the benefits of my "GJ" I no longer have to work the weekends. It it still taking some getting used to but I am not complaining. I thought I would end this balmy Friday (36 degrees is a huge step up from 20 degrees) by giving you my thoughts on the week's progress.
I think I have mouse arm ( It is like tennis elbow but caused from continuously being the on the computer stretching across the keyboard and using my mouse). I am contemplating submitting a worker's compensation claim or possibly getting a brace.
I have decided the radio station played at The Eagle is "Da Bomb." It is one of those stations that has no commercials and it has such a great variety of songs. Including NSYNC at least once a day. I almost burst out with the bye bye dance the other day. (Big Justin, Little Justin) Britt will understand that!!
The station also payed some 98 degrees today and some old school Pink ( She is so cool, I wish she was my best friend)
I discovered low fat cinnamon coffee cake at the the Starbucks downstairs. It is so freaking good I just can't contain my excitement. Coffee cake is like soup to me, one of life's guilty pleasures.
I finally got a log in name for Office Max online at work. Now I can actually order some useful office supplies. I have been writing with a marker since I started here because I cannot find a pen to save my life. Ya for online shopping!! Especially office supplies. It is like getting new school supplies only on a much larger scale.
On the home front: My rental office contacted me on Tuesday and I was freaking out considering we still haven't paid rent for Jan. I thought for sure they were going to tell me they were filing an eviction with the court. Imagine my surprise when the lady advised that she would knock $55.00 off our rent. All I had to do was go to 4 different websites and comment how much I liked living in our apartment. I truly believe that saying " When God closes a door he opens a window." In this case it was a $55.00 window, how awesome is that :)
Well that seems to sum up the week nicely. I hope my weekend is as exciting as my week was.

Just makes you think...

Well today my heart is a little bit heavy. One of the HR Manager's I work with participates in a foster family program. She has taken in three different babies and served as a foster family for them. All three have been from mothers who abandon the child or are addicted to drugs. The most recent little guy she just got this week. He is only 6 weeks old. His mother is 20 and addicted to heroin. Apparently he is doing better and better everyday but is still under weight and has to have methadone given to him every 4 hours. She said he just has a terrible fit if he doesn't have his methadone because he is in such pain. The mother used to come to the hospital to visit him and she would be high.
I literally was almost in tears when she was talking about this. She showed me a picture and he is such a precious little guy. I just can't stop thinking about it knowing that there are so many other children in this same situation right now. I really commend her for doing this , I honestly don't think I would be strong enough.
I can't wait to go home tonight and hug my Lucabear just a little bit tighter.

I am a TVholic....

Since I love television and would absolutely dive in front of a Cota Bus to save my cable box, I thought I would make a list of all the shows I am a faithful viewer of:
American Idol- Of course I just blogged about it!
Law and Order-SVU- I just love Detective Stabler and Detective Bensen. I'm glad Alex is back as the DA too.
CSI- The regular one in Las Vegas. Although I do miss Grissom, Lawrence Fishburne just isn't CSI material.
House- I wish he was my doctor only he would speak with his actual British accent.
Bad Girls Club- What a train wreck, but I have to watch it. Everyone one of those girls in a hot mess.
Jersey Shore- Oh to be a gueedette and have a fist pumping good time with all the juice heads along the dirty shores of SeaSide.
Real Housewives of Orange County- Having mother daughter nose jobs and face lifts at the age of 16 what a life. It was a birthday gift from Lynn to her daughter.
*Side note- Have you heard about these new plastic surgery parties young girls are thowing? Well that is just awful and a topic for a whole other blog post.
Make it or Break It- This show takes me back to my gymnastic roots. I always wonder if I would have been an Olympic gymnastic right now if I hadn't straddled the beam doing a cart wheel.
90210-Although not as good as the original, nothing ever could be, I will admit I am hooked. This version just seems so much younger, or maybe it just seems that way because I am 15 years older.
Melrose Place- I never really watched the original one, I think I was too young. I do enjoy this new version very much. I am so glad they got rid of Ashley Simpson, she was horrific. Those Simpson girls should just give it up once and for all.
The Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec-I am just going to lump these three together because they really make a trifecta of goodness.
Intervention-God Bless these people who just can't get it together. This past Monday it featured a woman who drank 8 bottles of wine a day. Now don't get me wrong I love me some wine, and I normally do have a glass a night, but I can't imagine 8 bottles a day. Pure Insanity!!!
Gossip Girl-Why couldn't have have grown up on Upper East Side and be one of Manhattan's elite? Instead I grew up in the armpit of Ohio. Go Panthers!!
Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune- I faithfully watch these shows. My mom told me my grandma and her used to watch these shows everynight. I have since felt I should carry on the torch in her memory. I have grown quite fond of both.
After reading back through my list those seem to be the main shows that I watch, but don't you think for one minute that I limit myself to just those programs. If I listed them all you would really think I didn't have a life.
This is American Idol....
Last night was the first installment of American Idol, Season 9. I watch all two hours of it and loved every minute. Posh Spice, (which I will always call her, it is like Mark Walberg will always be Markie Mark to me, I digress), was gorgeous as always but not one intelligent word came out of her mouth or hardly any words for that matter. She is a robot, I swear. I don't think she even blinks. I adore Simon, I just don't think I can watch another season without him. Honestly, I forgot Paula even used to be on the show, I don't miss the slurred words and the constant rambling.
Best Simon quote of the night: " You are like a three year old with a goatee, who is trying to look like Latoya Jackson."
Holla!!

Here I Go! Here I Go! Here I Go Again! Girls whats my weankess?? SOUP!!

That was an SNL skit with J. Timberlake.....So Funny I laugh every time.
Anyway back to my second post. I might actually like this whole blogging thing.
So I have always been a soup person. I love a good bowl of soup before I begin my main course. This reason alone is probably why I have packed on the pounds. Recently I found a soup that is so delic I would happily swim in a vat of it. CHEESY CHICKEN TORTILLA SOUP. The prepared foods department here at the Eagle has this wonderful treat on their soup bar for lunch. It is great with the traditional cracker or with pretzels or tortilla chips dipped in it. It has a spicy kick for those of you who don't like a little tingle on your taste buds so beware. You can't beat the price of a nice sized bowl of it for $2.40 and it is always pipping HOT!! I swear I could eat it everyday...and I think I will. Mmmmm Mmmmm Good

Everyone else has one....

I have decided to create this blog for two main reasons, both of which are pretty dumb, but what the heck.
Reason 1: I am so freaking bored at work. I mean "stab my eyes out with pencils for excitement" bored. Hence the title of my blog...Only certain people will understand the concept of the "George Job." I am really hoping I will have more to do eventually...but honestly who could be that upset with getting paid to do nothing.
Reason 2: My "George Job" (from now on refered to GJ) has caused me to read numerous other blogs to fill up my day. It has truly become an addiction. I have always been a follower so why switch things up now, it has been working the past 29 years of my life....in short here is my blog.
I guess the only downfall right now to blogging is my lack of a digital camera. I am thinking with my tax return I will purchase a cheap one so I apologize in advance for the lack of pictures.
